Microsoft Breakout Sessions questions
I would like a couple of verifications on Teams breakout sessions.
- Can the organizer allow others to create breakout sessions? Example: T&D creates a training meeting that is being conducted by an individual. Can the organizer add access to create breakout sessions to others? Can organizers transfer access to others?
- Are breakout sessions a feature for Teams Live Events as well?

- About question 1:
As of today, only the organizer can create breakout sessions. We faced the similar situation in our team we found that as a workaround the organizer can switch (Assign Participant) the individual between breakout sessions, a bit limiting as you need both persons during the session. Hopefully Microsoft Teams will include that feature to allow other participants to create breakout rooms (as in the case of training sessions where the organizer is not the instructor will be helpful)- Thank you.
