Meetings Originating from Other Tenants
A recent update broke important Teams functionality that has worked for over a year.
Scenario:
- I'm a consultant with multiple O365 Accounts in Outlook 365 (Windows).
- When scheduling meetings with clients, I send out the invitation from their O365 Tenant, which allows me to see their availability and book physical conference rooms.
- Previously, using the Teams Meeting Outlook Plugin would insert my company's O365 Teams invite along with the audio conferencing plan that I have. I would be able to start the meeting even though the invitation originated from another tenant.
- Starting last week, Teams is treating me as a guest attendee, even though I am signed into Teams to my Company's O365 Tenant. This leads to everyone attending, including myself, seeing the message, "Someone will let you into the room shortly".
- Right now the only way around this is to schedule the meeting from my Company's O365 Tenant, which prevents me from blocking conference rooms in our client's environments.
