Is it possible to hide all third party apps in the teams app store for end users?

Hi all,

I would like ask if it is possible to hide all third party apps in den teams app store for the end users? I deactivated third party apps in the teams admin center days ago but still  I can still see the apps in the app store. Does anyone have any ideas?

  • The setting does block installing apps, which you should be able to confirm as a regular user (you'd see "This app requires approval from your IT admin to make it available for you to add."), or under the list of apps in the portal: https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/policies/manage-apps
If the idea is to hide the apps from appearing altogether (which granted Microsoft should be doing by default), you have to toggle the allowUserRequestsForAppAccess setting, as detailed for example here: https://www.loebmann.tech/disable-teams-app-user-requests/
Also keep in mind that first-party (Microsoft) apps remain visible, unless you choose to block them as well.
