How can I ad an email account to a Team?

Copper Contributor

We currently us a shared inbox to communicate with customers that we would like to integrate in a Team environment.  For example an email address could be: sales@company.com. Our team would like to be able to sent and receive messages with this email. Currenlty this is done by a using a separate email account.  Does anyone know a way to solve this in combination with Microsoft Teams?

Thanks in advance for your support.

In order to both send and receive mails in teams you need a mail connector like mailclark in your Team! You then connect that mailaddress You have via the connector!

You can also use each channels mail address and give that out to external people and you will receive mails into that channel! There’s no way to reply though! Although there is ways to create aliases for this “ugly” address

Last you can add a website tab in teams pointing to owa but this isn’t a very good experience either!

Remember that each team has a group inbox with the name of the team (changeable) for example the team sales has an address probably called sales@yourdomain.com which you can have in outlook!

@adam deltinger  Thank you for the prompt response. Do you know if this functionality is part of the microsoft teams roadmap?

Sending and recieving email? AFAIK no

@Ron4Teams, google for "BCCtoGroup for Microsoft Outlook" tool - it might help.
