Free chat/threadless channel inside of specific channels

Dear all,

is it possible inside specific teams channels, to have free text /threadless communication, the same way we have with meeting requests?

If so how can we achieve/get rid of this?

Afaik no, channel convos are always threaded. You can always submit a feature request for this over at the Feedback portal though: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/ad198462-1c1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472
