Having two people share would be useful. In real life you can have two things in the room to switch between. You need to see two artifacts side-by-side. Single threaded sharing is limiting. Since everyone is running dual screens, or large single screens, screen real-estate will be less of a concern in many cases. And if it is a concern, revert to single sharing.
