Does the Microsoft Teams Essentials Subscription carry over to New Microsoft Teams?

I currently own the Microsoft Teams Essentials Subscription and I was wondering when I switch to the new Microsoft Teams, will the subscription carry over? What benefits will it provide? Is the subscription exclusive to the old teams (and does the new teams even need a subscription to unlock other features?)

    yes, your Microsoft Teams Essentials Subscription will carry over when you switch to the new Microsoft Teams.

    Microsoft Teams no longer offers Teams Essentials subscriptions, but all existing Teams Essentials accounts will remain active without any changes.
