Good morning. We are working through migrating to the Microsoft Teams phone system and are struggling to make things work the way our 3ed party Microsoft sales rep told us.
We were told calling plan minutes can be shared across all users. So, we have a few calling plans assigned to random users, and we can have the bulk of our users on the Microsoft Teams Phone Standard license that does not include a calling plan. Still, this licensing can share the existing calling plan linked to our Teams Phone with Calling Plan (country zone 1 - US) licensing.
Sharing the minutes across users might be possible, but we found out that with the Microsoft Teams Phone Standard license, we cannot assign a phone number to this user without adding an additional calling plan to the same user.
Was the salesperson wrong, or am I doing something wrong? Is there another action to turn on calling plan sharing?
