Accessing Team Notes from Meeting

Copper Contributor

Accessing team notes from a chat channel is no longer possible. Before I was able to select the "view notes in full screen" after a meeting was concluded but now instead of showing me my team notes that were taken during the meeting it just brings me to the bottom of chat channel. The option to download my notes is present through a banner at the top of teams but when i download the notes it opens the file in a excel document and just shows attendance of that meeting and nothing more. I'm not sure how to access my previous notes taken during a meeting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That just happened to me this morning. I remembered reading the Meeting Notes option was going away and being replaced by OneNote. And was expecting some explanation or warning in advance. Didn't see anything and the work-around for the tab being missing (link to Notes from chat) is no longer working.

We found the notes in OneDrive. I viewed OneDrive online to see everything. Selected the "My Files" folder and searched for "wiki". In the wiki folder were all of my various meeting notes. When you click to open it will want to download and when you open the download, it opens as an Outlook document.

@KelliSC Just adding to this, we've had a bit more of an exploration over on this thread that may help: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/meeting-notes-tab-disappeared-replaced-by-rec...

Thank you very much!! Our IT does a very poor job of letting users know what's coming and how to deal with what came :). This is very helpful. We found the collaborative meeting option and are trying it out.
