Azure AD Joined Mapped Drives
Hi All Does anyone have a working solution that can push down mapped drives from an AD File Server via Intune to Azure AD Joined W10 devices? Tried various methods / guides online and very li...
- Feb 26, 2024Hi Stuart,
If you wish to map drives to Azure AD joined devices, you can try to use the DriveMapping admx.
Rudy has created a blog on how to use it:
https://call4cloud.nl/2021/03/willy-wonka-and-the-drive-letter-factory/
Otherwise, there is also the option to utilize a PowerShell script in Intune, that will create a task on the devices. Here is the link: https://intunedrivemapping.azurewebsites.net/
My recommendation for you, would be to try the admx files 🙂

Thanks so much for your time and patience.
Have a great weekend.
Stuart - StuartK73Mar 01, 2024Steel ContributorHi Buddy
Many thanks for your time and patience on this.
This device was enrolled by a DEM account. I had my suspicions that this may be interfering with the deployments. On looking at the MS DEM info page, one of the limitations is that VPN Profiles cannot be deployed to users, and my VPN config is showing as N/A, so I suspect that other policies might be limited.
Let me re-enroll the device as a non DEM account and test and reply.
Stuart - NicklasOlsenMar 01, 2024Iron ContributorI can see you have assigned it to all users. Is this a test tenant?
Do you see the same error on all the devices?
I configured the drive mapping without any issues yesterday. Can you share the OS version of your Windows 10 (winver in run) so I can simulate the same scenario?
Thanks 🙂 - StuartK73Feb 29, 2024Steel Contributor
- NicklasOlsenFeb 29, 2024Iron ContributorCan I see how the policy is configured in Intune, as well as with the assignments?

Looks OK to me:
Windows 10, I can pull Diagnostic logs of the test / target PC if you know which log it is.

The computer you are testing with, is that Windows 10 or 11? - StuartK73Feb 28, 2024Steel ContributorUsers buddy
