Can an MS Forms form ask users to upload a file and still be open to external users? How?

Copper Contributor

Hi  there
Can an MS Forms form ask users to upload a file and still be open to external users so anyone can fill it out? How?

Thank you.

Solution

@frob009 file upload is not possible if external users can complete the form, it's only available if the form is set to "only people in my organisation can respond".

This was a 'user voice' request back in 2020. Does this mean that it will never be an option in the future?
As that means we need to look at third party tools to do what is a very simple addition for Forms

@twhelton it still appears as a request on the new feedback portal (which has replaced UserVoice) so it might get done eventually: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/38b8e296-d01c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8eda
