Bug with forms - math answers not being saved (specifically on Firefox)

Copper Contributor

Hey!

So I'm a student and recently had a problem with a maths test in forms. After the teacher returned our tests, I saw that about half of the answers were not filled in (and I was 100% sure that I answered them) - so I investigated.

I made a quiz and tried to replicate the issue where the answer is not submitted. It only happens in these conditions:

1. You have to be using the Firefox browser (I'm using version 84)

2. The quiz needs at least 2 questions

What you do to replicate this is:

Answer the first question, then click on the field of the second question. The first question's "math formula keyboard thingy" should stay open. Then, answer the 2nd question and submit the form.

After submitting, the quiz owner will not receive the 1st answer, even though you entered it.

This does not happen in Chrome.

Here is the form I'm able to replicate it in.

https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=ISkj9tfQGkye7g2hUhMATWesfN_9jmFNjVuII6YBVL5UQzAy...

and the attached images show the problem:

Image 1 shows how I entered both answers.

Image 2 shows how after submitting, it shows answer 1 as wrong.

Image 3 shows the owner's view and how answer 1 is empty.

How would I go about reporting this bug and getting it fixed?

Thanks
