Your meeting was found to be out of date and has been automatically updated

Hi,

My users keep getting emails on behalf of a colleague who set up a meeting stating that:

"Your meeting was found to be out of date and has been automatically updated. Updated meeting details: Meeting Recurrence"

I've read a lot about this being related to iOS however the meeting organiser does not have an iPhone.

This is affecting multiple meetings by multiple organisers. It only appears to be affecting recurring meetings in Office 365, and it's incredibly annoying when attendees receive multiple meeting updates (some receive 20-40 per day).

I can't find any instances where anyone has fixed this. Can anyone offer any advice?

Tom

One "fix" will be to disable the calendar repair assistant:

Set-Mailbox -Identity tony@contoso.com -CalendarRepairDisabled $true

That definitely sounds more like a workaround than a fix. Surely the calendar repair assistant performs other functions which will then stop when I disable it. Seems like it contains bugs; won't Microsoft acknowledge the problem and fix it?
