Troubleshot with 'RANK.EQ' function
Hi,
I am using the rank.eq function to rank student votes. The votes are calculated from formulas.
I found a very weird and buggy behavior of Excel that I have embedded in the attached file.
On the left side, you will see that the ranking is wrong, it should have attributed the same #1 rank to the first two students (the vote values, tested by Excel above the table, are the the same for the AAA and CCC students).
Now, if I copy paste the same table (->right table), but just edit by hand the second vote value of the student CC by typing '12' on my keyboard in the cell I9, Excel still states in the equality test that I8=I9, but now the ranking is now correct...???
If you copy-paste B9 into I9, the equality test above the table is still OK (I8=I9), but the ranking is wrong again.
Someone can shed some light on this strange behaviour?
Many thanks in advance.
