transfer Domain godaddy to microsoft 365

Also I only found this thread *after* I started.

4 chat techs and 2 advanced support told me: the domain has been deleted. Wait 90 minutes.

Finally after 4 hours the last tech that told me their advanced support deleted it with them (inferring it was not deleted before), told me it could not be deleted because I did not delete groups first.

Not sure what they mean but maybe the distribution groups. They disappeared from being an option once I followed their initial instructions and deleted the mailbox accounts.

So that inferred every single one of them lied about actually deleting the domain. It was never deleted. And now they insist it will be 24 hours to purge what is blocking the domain from transferring because [I] followed their instructions and deleted the accounts with no warning or later ability to delete "groups".

Just give me the Global Admin login and I'll delete the **bleep** groups myself!

I think what I need to do is:

* Import the backed-up PSTs into mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons accounts and get their passwords and into their Outlooks to access historic Outlook to date; and

* create a temporay cPanel imap account and point DNS MX records over there.

I remember in Exchange 5.5 days you could even get the Exchange server to access POP accounts and pull the emails into Exchange mailboxes.

But I think I'll just set them up with IMAP for 24 hours...

That should work? The conflict is only migrating from GoDaddy Microsoft to Microsoft right?
