Hi all, 

Is it possible to use Server Side Object Model (SSOM) for Sharepoint Online (O365)?

If yes - How? 

If no - Why?

No, it's not possible. A SPO tenant for a customer is hosted under a shared set of service so Microsoft has never allowed to use SSOM with SPO because obvious reasons
