Outlook saves mailbox credentials as local instead of Enterprise

Hi all,

We are facing a problem with Outlook 2016 (Office365) on a Server 2016 terminal server farm.

All user profiles are roaming and deleted from C:\users at logoff.

When users configure their Outlook with their Office365 mailbox, the password for the mailbox is only stored for that session. This is because Outlook saves these credentials as "local", instead of "enterprise".

When looking in control panel >  credential manager, the persistence is also stated as "local" instead of "enterprise".

Can anyone please tell me how to make Outlook save these credentials as enterprise credentials, so these are roaming together with the profile?

      Hi Michel,

Good question, but no. This is just a plain Microsoft-only environment. RDS 2016, Office365 latest build, normal roaming profiles.

      This describes the problem:

However, the registry keys mentioned there are already roamed.
