Office 365 monthly active users to pass 100 million in early 2017?
Microsoft’s Q1 FY17 results contain the news that the annualized revenue run rate for commercial cloud products is now over $13 billion. Perhaps even more interesting is the news that the new official figure for Office 365 monthly active users is 85 million. - Somethig I has always wondered is how we could verify that figures (number of active users) are accurate and real...If I recall, you write something about this in the pas :-)
I did try and track the numbers but it is difficult without raw data. All we can say now is that the upward trend in the financial data (which has to be accurate because it is formally reported) matches the reported growth in MAU. So therefore it seems pretty clear that Office 365 is on a very healthy trajectory.
