Hyperlink warning message in ACCESS

Copper Contributor

I am trying to get rid of the hyperlink warning message in ACCESS which appears
when I select a hyperlink field from a table that points to an MP3 file.
I have followed the Microsoft published instructions document titled
"Enable or disable hyperlink warning messages in Office programs" using Regedit.
The instruction said create a new key and name it "Security", but the registry on my machine
already had a Security folder in that path of the registry,
so I added the new key to RemoveHyperlinkWarning to the existing security folder in the registry,
but the message still appears.

I have also tried the other method by adding the path of the MP3 file to the Trust Centre, but also to no avail. Has anyone managed to supress this message. I'm using Office 365 personal.

Hello! You've posted your question in the Tech Community Discussion space, which is intended for discussion around the Tech Community website itself, not product questions. I'm moving your question to the Microsoft 365 space - please post Microsoft 365 questions here in the future.

@Eric Starker I was sent here via a link from Microsoft online support staff, who after playing around with my PC via Quick Assist, were not able to solve the issue. I'm new to this so wouldn't be aware it was the wrong place
