Note: See the Microsoft 365 Insider Handbook and Insider FAQ to learn about the Microsoft 365 Insider program.
Microsoft 365 Insider for Mac is available for those with a Microsoft 365 subscription in two levels: Beta Channel and Current Channel (Preview).
Best for those who want to use the latest builds to identify issues and provide feedback about new features still in development, and don't mind the bit of risk involved in using unsupported builds.
Best for fans or early adopters who want early access but also want to receive less frequent, more stable updates. Builds come out monthly and are fully supported.
Select the channel you want:
Current Channel (Preview) gives you early access to fully supported builds with minimal risk.
Beta Channel is a good option if you want the earliest but unsupported preview builds that are released more frequently.
Review the License Agreement and information that’s collected when you use your apps.
Select Accept and then Check for Updates, to download the latest update.
Notes:
- If you installed Microsoft 365 from the Mac App Store, you'll need to use the instructions to download the installation package on support.microsoft.com instead.
- If you have a Microsoft 365 subscription through work or school, your Microsoft 365 administrator manages access to Insider builds. If you don't see the Insider update channels, your admin has disabled them.
- If you are a Microsoft 365 admin, see the Microsoft 365 Insider Program for Business information for IT admins.
