Generally Sensitive Topics for Copilot

Indeed, users who already have access to salary information will retain this access when they use Copilot for Microsoft 365. In such situations, it is advisable to apply ‘sensitivity labels’.

- We are exploring labels but this appears to be a long journey ahead. But we are finding there are clearly general categories Copilot will not respond to. We have a user with access to salary info as well as myself without access to salary info. When either of us engage M365 Chat it will not provide responses to questions about salary. If we persist, the chat shuts down. Clearly there are built in guard rails, we are just trying to find a list of what those topics are.

Yep ! The process of deploying Copilot for Microsoft 365 isn’t as simple as just turning it on. According to Microsoft, the second phase in the deployment of Copilot for Microsoft 365 involves data cleansing. The first one is to create a Center of Excellence (CoE).
I also find some challenges with the deployment of Copilot for Microsoft 365. It doesn’t always maintain stability, there are occasional delays in applying configurations, referencing files isn’t always straightforward, and Teams meeting summarization is not always what we talked about, among other issues.

- Totally we have not even begun. We are having a heck of a time finding though these general categories in documentation to help alleviate data concerns for our senior leadership.
