VBA for deactivating just the ALT key

Application.OnKey "{F1}", ""

 

the above deactivates F1 key, what is the vba for deactivating just the ALT key?

    I'm afraid not much can be done about this, it is an important part of the user interface of Office which helps you find out about the short-cut keys to work with the ribbon.

    Mr Pieterse thank you for your reply, when inadvertently the ALT key is pressed some characters appear on top and it is quite bothersome.

    You cannot repurpose the alt key using OnKey. Why would you want to disable Alt?
