unable to pull csv data in powerpivot from csv or xls

Hi yesterday i was trying to pull data from a csv file,tried direct import from file and through folder but i was getting only one coumn of date when the query was imported,rest other colmns were ignored ,same was the case when imported data from .xls file version to Xlsx version and i was not able to import complete data.in edite query mode can some one advice didnot faced same issue when i imported data from xlsx version

  • Try this out:
    1. Open a new blank workbook
    2. Click on Get Data dropdown in Data tab
    3. Select Blank query
    4. In the Power Query editor, click on New Source
    5. Select the CSV files folder path
    6. Click OK to import to Power Query.

    However, you just ensure that all the CSV files in the same folder has exact headings.
    For example: If you have Name as heading for CSV file A. You must have Name as heading for CSV file A

    can you remove any sensitive date from the CSV file and then post it here?
