Unable to change units in box and whiskers chart

In a traditional chart, you can change the (major & minor) UNIT of the Y-axis (so to show eg. values 100, 200, 300,... or 100, 150, 200, 250, ...). But this does NOT seem possible in a Box & Whiskers chart ? You can change the minimum and maximum value, but not the unit.  Is this a known limitation, or is there a way to edit the units ?  Appreciate your help & advise. Thanks !
