Turning off the array feature in Exel Office 365
I teach beginning Excel at Lane Community College. When I go to teach them named cells and ranges and how to use them in functions, my students are getting automatic arrays set around their functions.
While this is an awesome feature for advanced users, it is problematic for students who are just learning because they are not able to edit their functions to correct errors.
Is there a way to turn this automatic creation of an array off so that they can create the basic function with named ranges and copy it down the page using the fill handle?

To my knowledge dynamic array can't be switched on/off, at least without hacking an application. On the other hand, named ranges shall work correctly if not to rely on silent implicit intersection.
