Temporary view issues

Hi, I am running into issues with the temporary view and entering data in a shared excel file.  I enter data in rows 20-30 in temporary view.  When IU go back to default, the data I entered is now in rows 48-58.  How does this happen?  How can I avoid it?  Should I only enter data in default view?
