SUMIF
I am using two SUMIF formulae to add separately the positive and negative numbers in several rows of data. When I add a blank column to the start of those rows, the results of those formulae change. The numbers being added have not changed and the additional column is blank. Why should the answers be different? I'm baffled.

Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?- MarkCP1955Copper ContributorThanks for getting back to me. Happy to attach the worksheet but can't see how to do so on here and (ignorantly) unfamiliar with the other options.
- MarkCP1955Copper ContributorI omitted to mention that I was inserting the blank column and the sorting alphabetically by a macro. I've just re-recorded the macro and the problem seems to have gone. Thank you anyway for your response.
