Suddenly unable to add rows

Have been adding an alphabetized list to excel with multiple columns. Have been able to insert multiple rows until this morning. Now, that option is greyed out. 

How do I get the function back?

    Hello,
    To solve the problem, let assume your data span between A1:G100 goes down to row 100.
    1. Place your cursor in cell A101
    2. Execute Ctrl + Shift + Right and Down Arrows.
    3. Right-click on delete the entire selection.

    That should solve the problem
