Stockhistory function is suddenly blocked
I have been a subscriber of office 365 and regular user of stockhistory function in excel for past 3 years. Today , all of sudden, my excel shows me error that I need to sign in with an account asso...
- Jul 10, 2023No update on how and when it will be resolved. But I've a work around that you can do - save the excel in one drive and then using the one drive URL of excel open it on a browser. It will work fine.

The OneDrive trick does not work for me. My file was already on OneDrive.
I still get the #Value error even using my browser (no "You need to sign in with a subscription account to use these data types. Select Excel from the top menu and then select Sign In." error on the web version of Excel, though.
Reinstalling Office (per MS Support instructions) does not fix it either but it changed the #Blocked for #Value. The "You need to sign in with a subscription account to use these data types. Select Excel from the top menu and then select Sign In." still shows up.
Diagnosing the entire formula shows the issue is indeed with the StockHistory function. Other functions work normally.

just a guess, but maybe you have not logged into your onedrive account through browser. Try to login first and then try opening file into browser through your onedrive account.
- TheSimArchitectJul 11, 2023Brass ContributorYes, I surely did. I tried multiple combinations even using different accounts etc.
But I don't get #Blocked in the browser's version, I get "#Value" instead.
I also don't get #Blocked on Excell for Windows anymore but also #Value. But yet the error shows up on Excel for Windows but not on Excel for Web.
I didn't try MacOS or Android yet.
