Solver does not show up in Excel even after I added in

Copper Contributor

Hello everyone! I need to use the Solver in Microsoft Excel 2016 but even after I added in, nothing shows up. Also, when I click on the Data tab, a pop up message comes up saying "Cannot run the macro 'OpenSolver_ModelClick'. The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled." See the screenshot provided below. Would be really grateful if someone could help me with this Solver Issue. Also, I already uninstalled WPS Office as I found on a site that it might resolve the problem but the Solver issue remains. Please help out if you can, thank you.

@syedasaima , check to see if the add-in has been disabled. Go to Excel Options and select Add-ins on the left hand side. At the bottom there's a dropdown to manage disabled add-ins. Hope this works.

Vieleicht hilft dir das

Um dieses Problem zu beheben, aktualisiere Solver, eine verbesserte Version von Frontline-Systeme. Weitere Informationen findest du auf der Website Frontline Systems:
http://www.solver.com/

Außerdem könntest du Solver entfernen und erneut hinzufügen.

I checked. It is not disabled. EE1.JPG

I'm having the same issue but with any macros. Multiple users across our enterprise all experiencing the same issue starting Friday. Macros not working. Doesn't matter the location or the file. Any macro enabled workbook.
Go to Excel Options => Add-Ins and select "Manage" Excel Add-Ins below and press "Go". There you can see whether the Solver add-in is activated.
Deactivate solver add-in => restart Excel.
Macro button should work again and the solver add-in can be reactivated.

If it doesn't help, then go through the other links / answers again.

Greetings from the beginner,
