shrink columns and reopen later
I need to shrink/minimize a wide database of columns for ease of working on current section and then re-open minimized section later. Minimizing is easy, but accessing and re-opening the minimized section is proving difficult.. - any answers please

If many of the columns you seek to "shrink" are side-by-side, you may want to group them. In the Data menu you find "Group and outline". Alternatively, on the Data ribbon you will find "Group" button.
Select the columns you want to "shrink" and apply Group. It will place a plus/minus toggle above the next column and it will place some grouping level indicators towards the top left. Press the buttons and see see if this achieves what you are after.
