Sheet won't allow ANY cells to be selected. Why?

I have an Excel workbook [Office 365] with one sheet that doesn't allow any cell to be selected. What do I do?

  • It may be protected and not allowing cells to be selected.

    See if you can unprotect it (password may be needed) from Review ribbon, Protect tab.

      Think about it. If I can't select ANY cells, I can't do Step 1 to unprotect the cells. :-0

        However, Review > Unprotect Sheet did not require any cells to be selected and it worked. Thanks.
