repair excel column headings
Excel column headings have been changed from A, B, C etc. to numbers 1,2,3. How can I revert to letters?

If you're on Windows:
- Select File > Options.
- Select Formulas in the navigation pane on the left.
- Clear the check box R1C1 reference style in the Working with formulas section.
- Click OK.
If you're on Mac:
- Select Preferences from the Excel menu.
- Select General.
- Clear the check box R1C1 reference style.
