Prevent text from getting outside cells

If the cell to the right of a cell is empty, then the text gets outside the cell. I know its useful since that cell is empty anyway but sometimes is annoying and text wrap will make the cells bigger which I dont want. I want to stop this from applying in a single column since I know what are in those cells with just the first few letters.
