Pivot table with variable database
Hi All,
I am trying to generate a dynamic table with a variable database using the OFFSET formula, however after performing the entire procedure I see that it still takes three rows with cells without data. I have tried to delete everything thinking that there might be some hidden data, but the problem continues.
Does anyone know what could be the cause?.
The formula is: DESREF($B$5;0;0;CONTARA($B:$B);CONTARA($5:$5))
ThanksĀ”.
- JKPieterseSilver ContributorWhy not format your range as a table? That would make your OFFSET function unnecessary altogether as formulas, charts and pivot tables pointing to a table automatically adjust to the size of the table.
- Francisco77Copper ContributorBecause the way the cells and titles are organized, a table cannot be made.

Francisco77 The advantages of tables are more important than the disadvantages of having to change your headings if you ask me.
