I would like to add a new line in a cell ( excel) for a MAC.  Control option enter should work, but it does not

Insert line breaks in Excel for Mac using a shortcut
Select the cell you want and start typing.
If you want to continue on the next line, press "ctrl" + "cmd" + Enter.
Even if you change the column width, this line break remains.

Automatic line break in Excel for Mac
If you want Excel to automatically insert a line break at the end of a cell, proceed as follows:
Select the lines you want.
At the top of the "Start" tab under "Alignment", select "Line break".
If you then change the width of the column, Excel automatically moves the line break.
