That is a difficult question. So i asked my secret contact at Microsoft.
To multiply part of an expense column by 12, you can use a formula in Excel. Here’s an example:
- Suppose your expense column is in column A and you want to multiply rows 2 to 5 by 12.
- In column B (or any other empty column), you can enter the formula =A2*12 in cell B2.
- After pressing Enter, you can drag the fill handle (the small square at the bottom-right of the cell) down to cell B5 to apply this formula to all the cells from B2 to B5.
This will multiply each of the expenses in cells A2 to A5 by 12 and display the results in cells B2 to B5.
Please replace “A2” and “A5” with your actual starting and ending cells if they are different.
