Multi-Variable Data Tables
Hello, Everyone - I'm trying to understand if there's a way to do multi-variable data tables. Let's take a loan for example. How could we see different monthly payments based on the interest rate, term, and loan size? Right now, data tables only allow for 2 inputs for 1 solution. But what if there was a way to create something new for 3+ variables? Here's my thought process:
- We're constrained in Excel by the 2 dimensions of the table (rows and columns)
- We can't see the 3rd dimension of what that 3rd input would look like
- But what if we could show it graphically, like a triangle?
- If you have 3 variables, you could represent the limits on your inputs on each side
- The solution would populate a point within that triangle
- If this is possible, you could have an infinite number of inputs for an endless number of shapes
- I've attached a quick sketch of what that might be able to look like
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

- JKPieterseSilver ContributorExcel already can handle multi-variable tables, simply have a column for each variable and column(s) for the "result".
