Map Chart Function Not Operating Correctly

Copper Contributor
The Map chart function to place data geographically seems to have been taken away in Excel On-line and does not function properly in my current version of Excel. Is Microsoft working on a new version of this or is this a function they have discontinued?

As of my knowledge, Microsoft Excel's online version, does not support map charts. However, map charts are available in the desktop versions of Excel, such as Excel for Windows and Excel for Mac.

If you're experiencing issues with map charts in your current version of Excel for desktop, such as functionality not working correctly, it's possible that there may be a bug or an issue with your installation. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Update Excel: Make sure you have the latest updates installed for your version of Excel. Sometimes, updates include bug fixes and improvements that can resolve issues with certain features.
  2. Check System Requirements: Ensure that your computer meets the system requirements for running Excel. Inadequate system resources or compatibility issues could affect the performance of certain features.
  3. Repair Office Installation: Try repairing your Office installation. This can help fix any corrupted files or settings that may be causing issues with Excel.
  4. Use Different Data: If you're encountering problems with specific data sets, try using different data to see if the issue persists. Sometimes, the format or content of the data can affect the behavior of chart functions. The text was created with the help of AI.
