MAC Users Unable to Edit Allowed Editable Ranges

I have created a file where I have allowed editable range within a protected sheet and workbook; For Windows users this is fine; however, when a MAC user opens my file they are unable to type the password necessary to that allows editing on (nor edit) the intended editable ranges.
