Is Custom Sort supported in Excel Online?

When working with a workbook in Excel Online, I am unable to use the 'sort on' custom sort and get the following error. However, the page at https://support.office.com/en-us/article/sort-data-in-a-range-or-table-62d0b95d-2a90-4610-a6ae-2e545c4a4654 lists Excel Online as a supported version for the methods on the article, including Custom sort. Is the published article in error, or is there a configuration with our tenant that might allow this option to be supported in Excel Online?

    What are you trying to sort on? Excel on-line does not (yet) offer things like sort on cell fill color

      They are trying to sort on fill color, yes. Thanks for clarifying; again, I was just confused because the documentation was not clear.
