Importing .txt in Excel app. Cannot select specific or adjust columns
Good day Excel Community!
I am trying to import .txt in Excel app from Data > Get & Transform Data > From Text/CSV. I was able to do it using the traditional way, in which I was able to select/adjust specific columns. Here is a screenshot provided:
But when I got to Data > Get & Transform Data > From Text/CSV, I cannot seem to select/adjust specific columns.
Please help me on this.
Thanks. 🙂

- JKPieterseSilver ContributorIf you change the numbers in the box that currently contains 0, 82,133, 260, 315, can't you get it to do what you want?
- Guillermo49Copper ContributorHi Jan,
Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Please, see how to work the import wizard in Excel 2010, 2013, etc. in these section. I think it must be a kind of error or something wrong because before it worked very well.

In general it shall work.
If after changing the numbers you click on Refresh icon, numbers will be returned in initial one. However, if instead to click on any empty cell in preview window, new numbers will be taken to show how the text is split.
Alternatively you may Transform and correct numbers in formula bar.
