I would like to enter data in two cells inside a worksheet in a workbook
then have the data from those cells go through a IF condition formula to move to the correct location in another tab inside the same workbook
basically sorted between 5 named tabs, 14 named columns?
Example
Tag Number , Tag Type
400500 cell B4, C1 cell E4
I have 5 tabs named: 1's for any six digit tag number that starts with "1"
2's for any six digit tag number that starts with "2"
3's for any six digit tag number that starts with "3"
4's for any six digit tag number that starts with "4"
5's for any six digit tag number that starts with "5"
Tag Type can be from C1 - C14
My question is: what is the correct formula for this? based on the structure of my workbook.
=IF B4 starts with number 4 , and tag type is C1 , enter on Tab named 4's under column C1
add row for next entry.
