I need help copying formula between tabs in excel

The data could be being pasted as text. You might want to try formatting it as number, then use Data > Text to Columns > Finish to coerce the format to be applied.
Alternatively, try Data > Get & Transform > From Web, and import the data with Power Query. if you choose the Transform option, you can change the data type in the Power Query Editor.
