how to enable autofill on excel?
I am attempting to enable autofill so when i highlight a group of cells to make that little square on the bottom right corner appear but nothing seems to be working. people are saying to click file than options but i dont have an options section when i click file

If you are using Excel online (browser version), you may find that the crosshairs do not show to drag and fill cells below. The solution I found was to disable freeze panes. Now the crosshairs show and I can autofill. Once I have done this, I can then freeze panes again

- Desktop version for Windows
- Desktop version for Mac
- Excel Online (in the browser)

On the Excel menu, click Preferences.

Click Edit.

Under Edit Options, check the Allow fill handle and cell drag-and-drop box.
