How do I make a chart of surge pricing
Hi
I'm new at making charts and I need a chart (bar possibly) where the number of people is represented by a bar, then a price is reflected, possibly on the same bar with split values, or with a line graph above it. The takeaway needs to be when a venue gets crowded, the price goes up driving down demand...like Uber surge pricing! Thanks for your help!

Hi
When you have 2 data series where one shows large numbers and the second shows small numbers (see attached file) then a Combo chart is the best choice.
An easy way to create it is:
- Select Data
- Insert Tab >> Recommended Chart >> select the top option
- You then apply all kind of formatting you want.
If you will be recreating similar charts later, then you can save time and effort by Saving your previously formatted chart as a Template:
- Right click on the Chart
- Select >> Save as Template
- Give a name to your Template
Next time you want to recreate similar charts with same formatting:
- Select Data
- use the Shortcut ALT + F1
- Select "Change Chart Type from the Design Tab
- Click on Template Category
- Select Your Saved Template >>OK
Hope that helps

After thinking about it ,a common chart is for stocks; where the volume is in bars at the bottom of the chart and the price is on a line above. This would work perfectly!! How to do??

If you have data like this, select first clustered columns chart
Here click on second series and Change Chart Type
Select Line type for second series and apply it to secondary axis
The rest is cosmetic
