How do I lock a excel file that is password protected

Hi,

I have a password protected excel file. When I'm done editing the file I want to lock it and minimize it but I can't find how to do that. The idea is that when I need the file I want to re-enter my password again so that I continue editing and so on.

Is that even possible or do I have to close the file entirely and open it again when needed.

Thanks in advance.

You can either password protect an individual sheet (right click sheet, Protect), or you can apply a password to the file as a whole (Options when saving).

I've done the how file protection thing but I'm looking for an option to lock the while I'm continuing work and minimize the file.

      Is that possible?

I am not too sure what you mean. If you aren't working on the file, it can just be minimised or closed - what do you want to lock, exactly?
