Hide a column for a shared file

Copper Contributor

Hello!

I want to share a file with my employee (he has to be able to write, add or cancel lines) but I want to block and hide some columns. Those columns need to be open in my file, but "transparent" in his. Is that possible?

Thank you!

Here is a suggested solution with VBA. Please see the inserted file.

With this you can hide the columns and can only be opened if you know the password.

This is the elegant solution, but can also protect the sheet with "Check", depending on the setting you can hide the columns and unlock them with a password.

Lock or unlock specific areas of a protected worksheet

I would be happy to know if I could help.
