Help Viewing Header/Footer in Excel

I added a custom Header/Footer to my new workbook. For some reason, I am unable to see what I put in print preview. I've adjusted the font as well as the margin but it's not showing? This is the first I've ever experienced this. I am also using a downloaded template, could that be the reason?
