help me open an excel file that may have become corrupt
This is the issue:
I opened the file got this error:
"we found a problem with some content in 'file name.xlsx'. Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can? if you trust the source of this workbook, click. yes"
I click yes, then another error
"Excel cannot open the file 'file name.xlsx' because the file format or file extension is not valid. verify that the file has not been corrupted and the file extension matches the format of the file."
How to fix it?

Make a copy of the file. Now open a blank Excel file, go to the File option, select Open. Select the file which you want to repair and select Open and Repair.
Did you add any Add-ins recently? If yes, try to delete COM Add-Ins.
Let me know.
First I tried open repair option and nothing happened.
No, I did not use and download any other add-in.
